As Gio posted, developing an "index" allows the shooter to look at a spot, draw, and have the sights/optic aimed at that spot.
This requires two skills:
1) Automatic sight alignment. Can the...
Here in Potlandia where all drugs are effectively legal, weed is low on the scale. Meth and opiates do the most harm. We’ve had at least 2 murders related to shrooms. A cop friend told me that he’s...
At 30oz, the S2c is only 2.3 oz heavier than my favorite carry gun, the CZ P-07...
For CCW, I wouldn't choose the S2c because it lacks a decocker.
I like to break it into two parts:
1. Automatic sight alignment. Draw and sights are aligned or dot is in the middle of the window.
2. Automatic point of aim. Sights or dot appear where you look.
JCL and I are heading out soon for a week at a remote AK cabin, and had the same discussion. I'm packing my G20.4/Acro with 190gr Cutting Edge solids (1150fps). It's not that much heavier than a 9mm,...
Where is that place?

On my CZs I use Lucas Extreme gun oil, and coat the slide stop pin with a thin layer of Lucas Marine grease. My current record is 32358 rounds on one slide stop on my practice Shadow2.

Wooo!
sigsag1, I strongly prefer Kydex over leather. I find that leather has a lot of friction on the draw, and the friction changes depending on pressure on the holster and angle of the draw stroke....
Dogs are tough, but it only took one strike to the head with a 3D rechargeable Maglight to kill a feral dog in Tibet.

It's great that this thread is generating some of the most interesting discussion we've had in a while.
I’d be tempted to break legs with the stick, and then move on to the spine or neck.
My take is it depends on how much work we want to put in. Fighters have different punches, so there's no reason we can't have different draws. But if you're going to have only one draw, I find...
I used a stream unit. I could see how a fogger might be more effective at putting OC in the facial orifices. But, outdoors, I do worry about blowback.
OC stream to the dogs butthole works like...
No, but I have used a 1944 military shovel. Spanks 3rd world dogs for a good yelp.
I would use nunchucks but never carried a pair…
I’ve used OC on dogs 5 times. Mrs. CF has done it twice. When sprayed on the dogs’ face the results were disappointing. Way better results with a big flashlight to the head.
I’m not an early adopter, so I’ll definitely wait a year or so to see if bugs need to be fixed. And to see if it’s a great gun regardless of price.

Ok now this gun has my attention…
Crisscross is a good transitions and acceleration/deceleration drill.
2 Metric or IDPA targets. Shoot 2 at each A zone (body and head), transitioning to a different target for each pair of shots....
The only killer app for a pistol mounted laser I’ve found was when using NODS. If I keep my red dot on the night vision setting, the laser works great for transitions to white light. I’ve had good...
