I've wanted to see the northern lights ever since I was a kid, but never thought I'd have the chance. Seeing them in my backyard here in the midwest is truly a gift.

Yeah - I lived through a baseball, grapefruit bombardment in TX. We were driving home when it broke loose. Luckily, we were two blocks from the house. I told my wife to get down under the dash board level and I leaned over her (my hero). The car was totaled as the body damage was awesome. The roof looked like it was hit by the fist of God.

The house needed a new roof, of course. You could see impact hits on the concrete porch and side walk for years after. The neighbor had his house side directly into the path of the hail and it blew through his siding like cannon fire.

Trees down, birds shot out of the ski - I buried few. 1.5 billion bucks of damage.
