Colt and Border Patrol Foundation 100th Anniversary

The Python was never an issued revolver that I know of. Previous issues were the various Colt service revolvers, S&W and later Ruger revolvers. But Agents could carry pretty much anything they wanted prior to 1977. I assume Pyhtons were personal purchase carry.

At $1,924 I think the price is a bit high. I don't see anything mentioned about the number to be produced. Will these be limited to 1,924 units?
